Legal, privacy, accessibility & youth safety
This center explains the standards SafePlay is building into the platform. It should be reviewed by qualified counsel before public launch and updated whenever production data practices, vendors, features, or laws change.

Privacy Policy
SafePlay is designed to collect only information reasonably needed to provide youth sports profiles, parent controls, safety, communications, verification, and recruiting-related services selected by families.
We do not treat a child's participation as permission to sell personal information. Access to sensitive youth information should be limited by role, purpose, parent controls, and applicable law. Parents and guardians may request access, correction, deletion, or account closure through the platform's privacy/support process.
Service providers may process information only for authorized platform functions such as authentication, hosting, security, storage, communications, verification, or other disclosed operational purposes. Production integrations must be documented before data is shared with them.
Children's Privacy & Parent Consent
SafePlay serves youth athletes, including children under 13. Accounts and features involving a child under 13 must use a parent or guardian workflow and obtain verifiable parental consent before personal information is collected beyond what applicable law permits without consent.
Parents and guardians must be able to review information collected from their child, revoke consent, request deletion, and prevent further collection or use where required. SafePlay should not require a child to provide more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in a feature.
Youth information must be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, legal obligations, safety, fraud prevention, or dispute handling, and then securely deleted under the platform retention schedule.
Terms of Service
Users must provide accurate account information, protect account credentials, follow age and role requirements, and use SafePlay only for lawful youth sports, development, family, team, training, and approved recruiting purposes.
Adults may not use SafePlay to bypass parent controls, solicit minors, groom or exploit youth, request inappropriate content, arrange prohibited private contact, harass users, impersonate another person, or evade verification and safety controls. SafePlay may restrict or remove access when needed to protect users or the service.
Coaches, trainers, recruiters, schools, teams, and organizations are responsible for their own credentials, representations, safeguarding duties, and legal obligations. A SafePlay verification indicator is not a guarantee of conduct, employment status, licensing, or future behavior.
Community & Youth Safety Rules
Parent-first contact is the default safety model for adult-to-minor connections. Sexual content involving minors, exploitation, trafficking, grooming, threats, bullying, hate, doxxing, dangerous challenges, fraud, and attempts to move prohibited conversations off-platform are not allowed.
Users should report concerning behavior through SafePlay reporting tools. The platform may preserve and disclose information when legally required or when appropriate under applicable emergency, child-safety, or law-enforcement processes.
Accessibility & ASL Assistance
SafePlay aims to support WCAG 2.2 AA-aligned experiences, including keyboard navigation, visible focus, readable contrast, meaningful labels, scalable content, accessible authentication, captions/transcripts for platform-produced audiovisual content, and consistent access to help.
Deaf and hard-of-hearing users can request ASL or other communication accommodations through SafePlay Help. When live interpretation is not immediately available, SafePlay should provide an accessible written support channel and coordinate reasonable communication assistance rather than claiming an interpreter is already present.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, contact SafePlay Help and include the page, feature, assistive technology if relevant, and the accommodation requested.
Questions, rights requests, or safety concerns?
Use SafePlay Help for privacy requests, parent account questions, accessibility or ASL accommodations, reporting, and safety support. Emergency situations should use local emergency services rather than relying on an in-app response.
